Guest Blog: Coconut Oil

I have just been sent two big buckets of coconut oil from Good Health NZ, lucky me! So I’m going to share some of the things I do with coconut oil.

  1. Coconut oil is by far the safest, healthiest and tastiest oil to cook with especially at high temperatures.

  2. On the skin as a basic lotion.

  3. As an eye-makeup remover. Really! Plus it’s gentle and moisturizing unlike chemical make up removers.

  4. It’s high Lauric acid and MCFA content helps boost metabolism.

  5. A tiny dab rubbed on your hands and then through hair will help get rid of dry ends.

  6. As an intensive night time facial moisturizer.

  7. Mixed with equal parts sugar for a smoothing body scrub (use in the shower).

  8. Rubbed on lips as a natural chap stick.

  9. Sarah Wilson’s fail-proof tip - eat it straight from the jar. It satisfies your need for something sweet and kills your appetite for about 4-5hrs.

  10. Sarah Wilson’s nut ball recipe.

  11. On cuticles to help nails grow.

  12. Rub into elbows daily to help alleviate dry, flaky elbows.

The Good Health Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is extracted from fresh, organically grown coconuts. It has a mild, smooth taste and aroma which enhances anything that you add to it.  It’s cold pressed (not processed using added heat) and certified organic to preserve its nutritional goodness and flavour. Head to Good Health NZ to get your Coconut Oil tub.
