2.     Exercise helps you recover faster


Contrary to popular belief, increasing your body temperature and sweating helps to kill some viruses before they even get a chance to take action in your body, because many viruses can’t survive in higher temperatures. With that said, you always need to listen to your body – don’t overdo it! Too much exercise can have the opposite effect and actually weaken your immune system further.

One study showed that people who exercised moderately during a cold felt significantly better than the participants that didn’t, although there was no difference in severity and duration.
